Hundreds of people soaked up the sunshine and the festivities at the Show on the Green at Sarisbury at the weekend.
Arena events including demonstrations by the Locks Heath Silhouette Majorettes and Sandra’s Dance Studio provided the entertainment while a broad range of stalls offered all sorts of activities for the whole family.

There were chances to try archery with the Talisman Bowmen, a steam engine ride around the green, huge bouncy castles and slides and music from the Swanwick Lions.
There were lots of winners in different categories in the fun dog show, but the best in show award went to Bertie, a Basset Fauve de Bretagne, who was handled in the judging ring by his owner Daniel Bennett, 10, and his friend Christopher Rixon, eight, from Swanwick.
Judge Jan Davies, who is a volunteer with the RSPCA Stubbington Ark, said: “He just appealed to me. If there was a dog here I would like to have taken home it was Bertie.”

It was a special celebration for dog groomer Joanne Rixon – the top three dogs are clients of her new company Grooming Lovely.
The show was so popular this year that in the end the police had to make several appeals for people who had left their cars blocking drives or with no consideration for other road users to move their vehicles.
